OUR BELIEFS
As a member of the Church of the Nazarene here are the beliefs that we hold to be true:

We believe in one God - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Old and New Testament scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and the Christian life.

We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

Our Mission

The purpose of Journey Fellowship is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We do this by Loving God, Loving People, and Making Disciples.

SO I'M A NAZARENE, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
As a member of the Church of the Nazarene, there are 3 core principles that we hold. We are:

CHRISTIAN

We believe that God came to Earth, as man, to bring us back to Him. Jesus is the bridge that reconnects us to God.

As a Christian we need to read scripture - we cannot cherry-pick bits and pieces of the Bible.  We either believe it all, or none of it.

As a Christian we need to pray - as children of God we need to pray on all occasions for all people.   Prayers are ACTS of faith or obedience, and they should include:

Adoration - praises for God's goodness and majesty

Confession - bearing our soul to God

Thanksgiving - recognizing the goodness we've been given

Supplication - lifting up our requests

As a Christian we need fellowship - which means "spending time with". Our whole existence should be focused on spending time with God. When we put our relationship with God as our first priority, everything else falls into place.

HOLY

Holy means "set apart" - as God's chosen people, followers of Christ, we must set ourselves apart.

MISSIONAL

To be missional is to be concerned with the health, safety, and well-being of all people despite race, ethnicity, etc.

To be missional is to love, regardless.

Our whole purpose for being is to show God's love to the world - to love God and love people.

Our Vision

Journey Fellowship's vision is to bring Jesus Christ to people by loving them where they are at and praying that they don't stay there. We develop a Loving Fellowship of Christians through a Loving personal relationship with Christ.
